Impressive Frida Kahlo

This impressive 1940 Frida Kahlo original oil was smuggled out of Venezuela and reframed after Colonel Chavez expropriated the owner’s business. Nothing is known of its provenance. The face on the medallion she wears is clearly that of her lover and sometime partner, Diego Rivera.
